Dr. Griffin is the owner of Smiths Station Animal Hospital. He founded the hospital and began serving the Smiths Station community in 1998. He moved his practice from an older location into a newly constructed hospital in November 2006. Dr. Griffin grew up in the Smiths Station area and is a 1988 graduate of Smiths Station High School. He appreciates the opportunity to enhance the special bond between people and their pets and is committed to providing the very best medical and surgical care in a compassionate and caring manner. Dr. Griffin and his wife Windy share their home with their daughter Carson, son Mason, their German Shorthair Pointer, Huck and English Springer Spaniel, Hazel. Dr. Griffin enjoys Auburn sports, outdoor activities, fitness & exercise, and home gardening.

Dr. Namie is originally from Elizabethtown, Kentucky. She moved to Alabama to attend Auburn University's College of Veterinary Medicine. It was here, that she met her husband, Stu who is a firefighter at Ft. Benning, Georgia. Together they enjoy the company of their many pets including dogs, cats, goats, and bunnies. Dr. Namie's passions are traveling, being outdoors, Auburn football - War Eagle!, and most importantly, practicing veterinary medicine

Dr. Murphy owned and operated Murphy Veterinary Hospital in Fort Walton Beach, Florida for 20 years before moving to the Auburn/Opelika area. He currently practices in four different clinics in both Alabama and Georgia. He has been married to the love of his love, Debbie, since 1979 and they have 2 wonderful daughters and sons-in-laws and four grandchildren. When not practicing veterinary medicine, you can find Dr. Murphy and his wife out on their farm gardening, raising chickens and doing multiple carpentry projects. They enjoy visiting their children and grandchildren, spending time with friends and of course Auburn football and sports! They have 2 dogs, Montana (Golden Retriever) and Hank (Beagle).




Michelle Shelton, D.V.M.

Dr. Shelton was born and raised in Southern Indiana, and dreamed of being a veterinarian since she was a child. After completion of her undergraduate degrees, she spent time teaching and practicing dental hygiene at the local university. She was also a veterinary technician and assistant for a total of 12 years before attending veterinary medical school. She obtained her veterinary degree from Purdue University, and practiced small animal medicine in Washington State for two years after graduation. She moved to this area in April 2018 to be closer to family. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, hiking, biking, kayaking, fishing, photography, painting, reading, and spending time with her husband and three dogs! She has three "children" (dogs): Yoshi (Shiba Inu), Dixie (Corgi), & Daisy (Mini Longhair Dachshund).
