Debra Moore - Veterinary Technician Assistant
Debra, a.k.a. Deb, has been a Veterinary Technician Assistant for ten years. Debra is originally from Lakeland, Florida. Deb and her husband, who is active military, moved to Ft. Benning in 1996. Deb has six dogs; English bulldogs, Miniature Pincher, Doberman Pincher and a Chihuahua. In her free time, Deb enjoys spending time with her two children and husband and enjoys interacting with deer that frequently visits her home.
Kristy Hammond - Veterinary Technician Assistant
Kristy was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Upon graduating high school she attended Clarion University of Pennsylvania where she obtained her associates degree in Education. She then joined the United States Army where she was enlisted for three years. She was stationed at Ft. Lewis Washington where she met her husband, Matt. Kristy joined our team in July when she and her husband transferred here from Texas. She has over three years of experience she brings with her from Banfield Animal Hospital. In her free time, Kristy enjoys outdoor activities, spending time with friends, playing with her lab “Harley”, and watching her Pittsburgh Steelers.

Zach Hester - Animal Care Attendant
Zach is in his senior year at Smiths Station High School. We first met Zach during his Health Internship Program in the Spring of 2010. Zach was a true fit to our team and became a part of SSAH in the summer. Zach has plans of attending Auburn University in the fall of 2011 where he will study Zoology/Biology. After completing his degree, he will apply to Auburn University's College of Veterinary Medicine. In his free time, Zach enjoys swimming, hanging out with friends, and watching movies.

Amanda Windham - Veterinary Technician Assistant
Amanda is originally from Saucier Mississippi and is in her
junior year at Auburn University. Amanda is currently enrolled in the animal
science program with the hopes of being enrolled into the veterinary program in
2012. Amanda found her calling when she started working in the veterinary field
three years ago as a vet tech. Amanda shares her home with her blue fawn
Pitbull Terrier, Brandi. In her free time, Amanda enjoys riding horses,
visiting the dog park, spending time with friends, and outdoor activities.
