Dr. Griffin is the owner of Smiths Station Animal Hospital. He founded the hospital and began serving the Smiths Station community in 1998. He moved his practice from an older location into a newly constructed hospital in November 2006. Dr. Griffin grew up in the Smiths Station area and is a 1988 graduate of Smiths Station High School. He appreciates the opportunity to enhance the special bond between people and their pets and is committed to providing the very best medical and surgical care in a compassionate and caring manner. Dr. Griffin and his wife Windy share their home with their daughter Carson, son Mason, their German Shorthair Pointer, Huck and English Springer Spaniel, Hazel. Dr. Griffin enjoys Auburn sports, outdoor activities, fitness & exercise, and home gardening.

Dr. Namie is originally from Elizabethtown, Kentucky. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemisty from Western Kentucky University. After graduating from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2009, she loved the Auburn family so much she decided to stay. A Couple of her passions include traveling and hiking; and she and her husband, Stu, have been section hiking the Appalachian Trail since 2016. They own a farm in Opelika, where several rescue dogs, goats, cats, and ferrets call home. Dr. Namie almost always brings a few of her dogs to work with her every day. They sleep and relax in her desk drawer office: Violet (Boston Terrier), Juan Carlos (Chihuahua), Rosie (Chihuahua), and Spud (English Bulldog).

Dr. Rachel Kring attended Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine and received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree in 2016. Her medical passion is in emergency medicine with special interest in internal medicine and surgical cases. She desires to get to know the clients and pets of Smiths Station (and the surrounding area) and provide them with the best wellness and preventative care!
Dr. Kring is originally from Maryland and never expected to move so far from home. However, the Lord had other plans and brought her to Alabama, and now she does not want to leave! She is married to an Auburn graduate student, and currently they have one baby girl named Raelyn and two fur kids, Zoey (dog) and Tuxedo (cat). In her free time, her family enjoys hiking, tennis, sightseeing, and wildlife photography. One of her aspirations is to go on an African Safari and get the once in a lifetime chance to capture those wild animals by camera.
